Cloudways – A DigitalOcean.Com Company is running the fifth run of its successful in-house academy program, where graduates, irrespective of their background, can come to learn to work with Linux and WordPress on the cloud and get a chance to solve challenging real-world issues. We are looking for fresh graduates who have heard about Linux and WordPress, and have an idea of how the web works, but want to learn more and start their careers in this field.
This will be a strenuous six-weeks long training program where you’ll be guided, directed, and expected to learn new things at a fast pace. Those who excel in the program after the end of those six weeks will be given a chance to work full-time at Cloudways to help solve challenging real-world problems.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will be put through a six week-long in-house training where you’ll learn about Linux, the cloud, and WordPress.
You will be expected to learn many new things on your own in a short span of time. During the training program, you may be required to work alone or in groups toward specific goals
Assignments throughout training will be used to judge your progress and learning aptitude
At the end of this initial training, an exhaustive interview program will filter out the people we need.
Once selected, you will sit alongside our expanding cloud operations team on the production floor, and go through our carefully selected product training program.
As you pass through different layers of the training program, you will be allowed a taste of production by exposing you to specific customers and their specific real-world issues.
Over time as you continue through the product training program and become adept at solving issues, you will transition into the main operations team
What You’ll Add To DigitalOcean
Min Bachelor’s Degree
Fresh or 1-year experience in infrastructure management roles will be a plus
Strong verbal and written English communication
Strong desire to learn new things on your own
Strong desire to work on Cloud, Linux, and WordPress
Linux and cloud experience, if available, is a plus but not needed
Previous experience in a customer-focused role, if available, is a plus
A knack for learning and exploring technical concepts and things
