Qualification: BSc Civil Engineering
Experience: 8 years (Including 5 years of experience with any govt entity)
Location: Lahore
A proposal engineer is a professional who prepares documentation for project bids. Proposal engineers develop and review contract bids for projects based on what the client needs. As a proposal engineer, you gather supporting documentation to make the proposal more competitive. You determine costs and timelines and may outline a variety of factors that may increase or decrease them.
Job Description:
Creating detailed engineering design drawings and models of proposed projects based on client specifications.
Developing cost estimates for projects based on client specifications.
Preparing proposals for bids on new projects, including reviewing existing plans and researching potential challenges that could arise during construction.
Preparing bids on behalf of clients based on their specifications and requirements.
Reviewing bids from other companies to determine if they are competitive or if adjustments need to be made.
Performing engineering tasks such as developing designs, creating models, and conducting tests to ensure that designs meet specifications.
Communicating with clients to gather information about their needs and preferences regarding design solutions.
Conducting feasibility studies to evaluate whether a project is economically sound.
Ensure the implementation of best practices and processes in proposal efforts.
Developing construction schedules and budgets for each phase of a project.
Skills Required:
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat
Excellent AutoCAD and solar design software skills
Creative design and problem-solving skills
Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Should know how to create RFP & RFQ process
Bid Management & leadership skills
