Job Description:

Preventive Maintenance Superintendent is a head office-based position & will lead, plan & administer preventive maintenance activities for drilling rigs and ensure its execution as per the policy.

Responsibilities

Actively lead all QHSE activities of the Maintenance Departments and integrate it in Preventive Maintenance System.
Ensure full compliance with MPCL HSE Management System for the Maintenance Departments.
Ensure that all Maintenance Department risks are properly assessed and mitigated to ensure a safe working environment without harm to persons or the environment.
Keep in contact with OEM`s to get Equipment failure notifications and apply mitigation measures as suggested by OEM.
Conduct regular HSE audit related to equipment maintenance during rig visit (PTW, LOTO etc).
Responsible to minimize overall equipment spending based on highest preventive maintenance standards.
Review Inventory levels and keep it to optimum level, ensure critical parts are always available in stock.
Plan preventive maintenance activities through SAP and keep track of maintenance records of all major Equipment like Well Control, Power generation & Hoisting / rotating equipment.
Perform technical review of Work orders from Rig team before closing in SAP maintenance module.
Ensure all equipment files are current and accurate maintenance record is maintained at rigs.
Coordinate with OEM along with SC for managing technical queries related to equipment maintenance.
Provide Support in Preparing MDU Capital budget for maintenance in coordination with field maintenance teams-based on strong footings and condition evaluation of equipment.
Plan and assist internal and external technical audits of equipment and processes.
Assist Manager Rig Operations in other tasks as assigned.
Direct Supervision of major maintenance activities of rig equipment.
Ensure API requirements related to equipment maintenance and certification are met as per Industry practice & meets regulatory requirements.
Plan Monthly review of rigs maintenance activities with Rig management team in Head Office, randomly spot- Check Equipment maintenance tasks.
Lead Investigation of Service Quality events pertaining to Rig Equipment failure, inspect equipment having persistent or serious failures, prepare recovery plan, and update maintenance task after investigation.
Assess competency of rig maintenance teams members and devise improvement plan, Provide feedback for annual appraisals.
Develop and implement appropriate technical standards within the Company’s maintenance management system

Qualification & Experience:

BSc Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronic) is preferred but may be substituted with relevant maintenance experience along with DAE Electrical / Mechanical as minimum.
For BSc Engineering Qualification: 15 years of experience in Rigs Maintenance with at least 5 years of experience in leading role to manage Preventive Maintenance systems of Multiple Rigs.
For DAE Qualification: 20-25 years of experience in Drilling Rigs maintenance with at least 7-10 years of experience in leading Preventive Maintenance systems of Multiple Rigs.
