We are looking for a meticulous and passion-driven Freelance Editor to join our global remote team!
As a Freelance Editor, you will be responsible for thoroughly planning, coordinating, reviewing, and editing exceptional, informative, and engaging content for our organization. You are also responsible for assisting the Content Team in deciding which ideas should be pursued in order to meet quality and accuracy standards that will attract our targeted audience and build customer loyalty
For this role, a strong Internet connection is required, along with experience using communication and collaboration tools like Slack, Zoom, Monday, Teemyco, and Google suite of tools.

What you’ll do:
As a Freelance Editor, you’ll get to show off your excellent editing skills on a variety of key projects. More specifically, you’ll get to:
Manages a team of writers and is responsible for curating fresh, relevant, and informative content.
Helps the team craft and refine ideas, cultivate sources, report, and write articles daily.
Oversees social media, graphics, and web production.
Hires writers and contributes to building up a high-quality writer pool.
Suggest articles, Social Media posts, and blog ideas in alignment with the targeted audience’s preferences
Oversee layout (artwork, design, photography) and check content for accuracy and errors
Proofread, edit and improve write-ups
Meet deadlines and budget requirements
Design the contents of publications based on the company’s publication’s style, editorial policy, and publishing specifications.
Establish the publication standards and goals.
Research and authenticate facts, dates, and statistics.
Evaluate and approve design proofs submitted by the media room prior to publication production.
Coordinate with designers, photographers, writers, and artists.
Qualifications (any or all):
Bachelor’s degree in English, communication studies, journalism, or in any related field.
Proven working experience as an Editor
Hands-on experience with MS Office and InDesign, Photoshop, or other publishing tools
Proven familiarity with SEO and social media best practices
Experience in content creation or editing, including online publishing
Experience with HTML, XML, DITA and related content-management tools
Portfolio of completed works
WHERE?
This role is initially fully digital/remote, eventually establishing our global Hubs in the U.S, Australia, Asia, and Europe for regular teaming and events. Ideally APAC-based.
