Job Purpose
This role incumbent will part of a small finance partner team aligned to value streams in one of the pharma manufacturing sites, as well as support functions, ensuring delivery of financial targets by providing decision support, financial management and governance.
Providing value added decision and planning support to the business
Derive management insight on the basis of standard management reports and knowledge of the business
Participate and lead discussion and decision on options to improve performance, focused on priorities, based on understanding of risks, opportunities and feasibility.
Support month end close review and sign offs with SMAS
The role is part of a team of embedded business partners on site and will provide specific insight support and challenge to the value streams and site functions who will lead change and enhance financial acumen in the business
Key site interface with other finance support teams and accountable for monthly business performance reporting and planning/forecasting
Education & Experience:
Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, BBA)
2-3 years of relevant experience
Key Responsibilities:
Finance partner to value stream operations and support functions providing embedded decision support, financial and option analysis and deep insight of performance delivery and resource allocations
Ensure proactive and effective coordination between site finance and In-Country Shared Services, above country finance as One Finance
Lead key parts of monthly reporting and reviews with SMAS, plans and forecasts and provide commentary on key variances/business drivers and any actions required. This to include matrix management of shared services, in delivery of reporting
Support site finance partner in signing off site income statement and balance sheet and forecast/plans to both GMS and part of the One P&l
Support site finance partner in delivering site governance and other adhoc presentation creation
Create non-standard financial analysis and trends to support decision making as required
Execute simplification projects and implementation of best practices
Support embedding full financial ownership across the value streams and functions
Accountable for risk identification and manage financial governance in support of delivering business strategies
Actively contribute to delivery of site financial and business performance delivery of both operating profit and working capital targets
Support quarterly judgment report preparation and year-end management certification,
Support implementation of working capital, treasury and tax strategies in consultation with Corporate and above site finance as required
Be point of contact for the business with financial issues and proactively support embedding of target operating model
Take joint responsibility and accountability for decisions concerning overall business and be first point of contact for business colleagues with all financial issues
Effectively communicate within the business and value streams and influence to realise opportunities, mitigate risks and achieve timely resolution of issues
Coordinate the preparation of plant product costing and assumptions and development of costs for new products
Facilitate internal & statutory audits; serving as the focal contact point between the business and auditors
