Al-Ghazi Tractors Limited, the subsidiary company of Al-Futtaim group of Dubai, is a story of rollicking success. With consistent corporate achievements, the company is recognized for corporate excellence and “Best Corporate Performance”.

With its head office in Karachi, the AGTL plant at Dera Ghazi Khan, manufactures New Holland (Fiat) tractors in technical collaboration with CNHI – Case New Holland, the Number One manufacturer of agricultural tractors in the world. The AGTL plant, an icon of engineering dynamics operates on high efficiency. With Quality Control and Quality Assurance, quality improvement systems exist at every level. What you will do?

Product Development/Designing & Lifecycle:

Develop deep product understanding on key specific technical items based on market analyses to launch new products
Define the product strategy and roadmap
Work with principals to explore the best possible product meeting the key features of the market demand
Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities to expedite the technical launches
Supervise and responsible for the technical and field tests of the product
Drive the technical feasibility study and way forward to make it a success

Localization and Parts Improvements:

Ensure all the local parts have technical drawings and fixtures are developed
Development of local parts for new models
Conduct technical Feasibility study for localization new model or existing parts including their cost impacts
Plan sourcing & finalize the cost
Development of part to OTS stage / submission to QA
Process verification / implementation of PIS standards.
Audit of supplier before MP startup

Technical Drawings:

Develop a data center for all the technical drawings and related items
Ensure all the product and parts drawings are available for all the existing and new product ranges with required diligence
Provide the guidance on all the metallurgy and engineering specifications across the organization
Sourcing decision & cost finalization
FS & localization approval
Make digitalization in Teamcenter

Plant/Asset Upgrade:

Develop the layouts for all the plant and related assets
Conduct technical study and fit for use of new technology of plant and asset upgrades and replacements
Responsible to deliver all the technical proposals on the plant assets upgrade, Medium HP and new High HP tractors

Value Engineering of current local parts

Study of existing design & make proposal
Collect supplier proposals for design mod
Get consensus from Quality, Sales and Manufacturing teams
Arrangement of test & trial
Get approval from QA and CEO
Liaison with CNHi

Responsible for dealing with EDB

Get the model approved by EDB
Bill of Material and Parts list approval for new model
Be a central point of contact for all EDB matters


Education: Bachelors in Engineering (Industrial/ Manufacturing/ Mechanical)

Minimum Experience: 15 Years in the Automotive Industry

Job-Specific/Technical Skills: Demonstrable Analytical & Leadership skills to manage & motivate the young team. Excellent hands-on engineering skills. Ability to lead a team and be able to work as an individual.
