Job Description:
Position Purpose:
The position is responsible for planning and implementing communication-specific activities and assignments across all communication mediums and channels; on-ground/print/digital etc.
Key Accountabilities
Promotional Material
Develop and review content for LUMS publications, including newsletters, brochures, flyers, and reports.
Develop and review social media content and communication.
Develop, review, and edit print media content e.g., press release, featured articles etc.
Work with creative agencies through effective communication briefs to ensure content that is high on quality, meets school and department objectives, and remains consistent with the University marketing and communications strategy
Communication
Liaise and facilitate schools and departments in their specific content and communication requirements.
Have a strong grasp of storytelling and create effective content as per University’s brand requirements
Relationship Management
Build and maintain effective linkage with schools and departments. Strong networking to gather and market their events/news/updates/success stories in time
Work with internal clients to ensure that all communication is in line with the University’s Communications Strategy
Social Media
Sound know-how of social media platforms and their communication requisites
Website
Be ‘ahead’ of the game on news/events coverage
Dig stories and write original pieces for the website
Upload content and maintain quality control of the website
Knowledge & Skills
Be a creative storyteller with excellent communications skills (both verbal and written)
Must be well versed with social media and digital platforms communication (website, blogs, etc.)
Possess excellent presentation skills
Be proactive and strong in multitasking
Have problem-solving skills and meet tight deadlines

To qualify for this role, you must have:
Bachelor’s/Master from a reputed university with specialization in Mass Communication/Journalism/Marketing.
0-1 year of relevant experience
