The responsibility for managing the execution, direction, and coordination of all transportation matters within the organization. This includes managing budgets, organizing schedules and routes, ensuring that vehicles are safe and meet legal requirements, and making sure that drivers are aware of their duties. Ensure Quality Management compliance within the department.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering sciences
2 + years of experience in supply chain management; exposure to transportation management
Key Responsibilities/Primary Functions/Deliverables:
Direct activities related to dispatching, routing, or tracking transportation vehicles through TMS (Transport Management System).
Monitor spending to ensure that expenses are consistent with approved budgets. Will be responsible for the budget allocated to transportations
Ensure that the optimized mode of transportation is used to serve the GSK requirement
Monitor operations to ensure that transportation vendors comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, contracts, environmental policies, or government regulations.
Serve as contact persons for all stakeholders such as Customer Service Logistic, Distribution Centre Managers, Finance and other Local Supply Partners for transportation related concerns.
Direct procurement processes including equipment research and testing, vendor contracts, or requisitions approval.
Identify or select transportation and temperature control processes to maintain product quality, optimize costs and reduce environmental impacts.
Collaborate with other managers or staff members to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, or objectives.
Ensure Quality compliance within the department and 3rd parties as QMS Lead.
Assist in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities and customer satisfaction opportunities. Identifying the saving opportunities.
Direct investigations to verify and resolve customer or Local Supply Partners complaints.
Will be responsible for the quantitative analysis for logistics and transportation
